The Powerpuff Girls: Bad Mojo Jojo is a 2D platform game developed by Sennari Interactive and published by BAM! Entertainment for the Game Boy Color. It is based on The Powerpuff Girls and is the first game of a three game series.

Synopsis[]

Mojo Jojo has broken into Professor Utonium's lab, and built some super weapons with which he will destroy Townsville. Help Blossom lead her sisters and use her perfect combination of Brains, Beauty and Brawn to track down and defeat the evil genius, Mojo Jojo, and thus save the citizens of Townsville!

Gameplay[]

This game follows Blossom, the leader of the Powerpuff Girls, as she fights Mojo Jojo and his henchmen. Blossom can fly, but only for a short period of time. GameSpot cites this as a key problem, as whenever Blossom falls into water, she not only dies, but any progress in collecting required trinkets throughout the level is reset to nothing.

Reception[]

The game was a failure critically. IGN gave the game a 5.0, and wrote that, "It really boils down to a game where you fly around and collect icons thrown in different parts of the levels."

Trivia[]

  • Two more Powerpuff Girls video games for Game Boy Color which are Paint the Townsville Green and Battle HIM were also developed by Sennari Entertainment.
  • This is the first Powerpuff Girls game published by BAM! Entertainment.
  • The title of the game is a word play of bad mojo, which means bad luck.
